How to Help Control Your Glucose Levels Naturally
My Dad was a diabetic for 43 years. I watched as he struggled many times to keep his glucose levels in a safe range. I saw how diabetes begin to destroy his body. I have had a pre-diabetic condition for 11 years. For the past year I have really focused on how to control my glucose levels so that I can avoid diabetes. My Step-dad has had diabetes for a few years but has found a way to greatly improve is glucose levels. This is what I have learned.
Find the Right Diet
When a person has diabetes or a pre-diabetic condition it is imperative that they find a healthy diet. My step-dad was able to lose over 75 pounds. As he lost weight his glucose levels went down. It is important to get to a healthy weight. He drastically changed his diet, or way of eating lifestyle, that also worked in lowering his glucose. The diet that he is using eliminates sugar, processed flour and includes high carbs separate from high fats. Stevia, a natural sweetener, is a great replacement for sugar. It takes about half the amount of stevia to get the same sweetness as sugar and there is not the “high” that can come from sugar. Also, do not skip meals. In fact, eat several small meals a day in order to keep your blood sugar levels even. Eating consistent meals will help keep your glucose from going high as your liver disperses sugar or from your levels going to low as your insulin kicks in.
Take Time to Exercise
It is important that you take time each day to exercise. Take a 30-minute walk in order to help burn off excess sugar. Not only will it help burn off sugar but it will improve circulation, which is vital for diabetics. It does not need to be strenuous exercise to be effective.
Proper Nutrition is Key
It is important that a diabetic gets the proper nutrition. The longer a person lives with diabetes the more complications that can arise. One way to combat many of those complications is to get the proper nutrition. There are glucose control products that will give you a tasty snack that have ingredients that help stabilize your blood sugar. Getting enough fiber is also a great way to control glucose because fiber will grab hold of excess sugar and remove it from your body. There are also vitamins that will control your glucose levels.
Get Enough Sleep
It is very important to make sure that you get enough sleep every night. While you are sleeping different hormones are released that actually help with glucose control, cravings and hunger. As little as one night of sleep deprivation can affect your body’s sensitivity to insulin. Set a regular routine for sleep and stick to it.

We have all been invited to this home party or to that home party by friends and family. We have all had that friend or family member tell us about that new business opportunity or new products they have found. How do we know which ones are for real and which ones are scams? How do you know which ones are the right fit?
What an MLM Business is
A multi-level marketing business is simple. It is a business where you are paid a commission on people you enroll and who buy the companies’ products. It is commonly referred to as word of mouth marketing, or direct marketing, or even network marketing. As you enroll people into your business they are put on different levels of your team. You goal is to help others build their business as well so that you ultimately are able to make more. The MLM business plan takes advantage of personal sales so that these companies are able to eliminate their advertising budgets because it is all about personal contact. This type of business plan is responsible for more millionaires and six-figure incomes than any other business model. There is potential but there are also some things that should be considered.
Beware of the Pyramid Scheme
The pyramid scheme is illegal, however, quite common under the guise of MLM. There are a few things to look for to protect yourself from a pyramid scheme. When you are talking with someone about their MLM, if they continually refer to the executive level and their earnings, you might want to be cautious. These companies usually only worry about signing people up and pay the most on the amount of people that enroll. These companies usually are not long lasting, as the executives face jail time if caught, so they are not around for many years. If you want to be safe pick a company that has been in business a minimum of 5 years. If a company’s compensation plan is confusing and complicated and focuses on the executive level, you may want to move on. When you are looking at a company you should not be promoted solely on the number of enrollees you have, this should be a big red flag as well.
What to Look for with an MLM or Home Based Business
When looking at a home business opportunity you need to look at the businesses structure and where the focus lies. Is it on the common person or is it based on the higher level and executives? The compensation plan can tell you a lot about a company. The compensation plan should not be solely on the number of customers a person has. I know personally of two companies, one is an MLM and one is not, where the compensation plan is based on customers, sales and mentoring. They are also compensated on customers that their team enrolls. The plan should be easy to understand and should not be complicated.
When looking at a company check out their return policy and how easy it is to cancel your membership. There should be a fairly simple return policy either by returning the unused product or even some have an empty bottle return. Research their products and find out what others think and how they work. That is why many companies require their representatives to use the products.
It would be a good idea to also check with the Better Business Bureau and see what they are rated at and how they handle complaints. Obviously the better the rating the better the company’s policy on handling complaints. Make sure that there is a benefit for your contribution. Legitimate businesses will have a service or products for your money.

How to Lose Weight and Keep It Off
Every day we see commercials for weight loss programs and medication. As a country we are in desperate need to lose weight and become healthier. I have seen family members struggle with their weight and this is what I have seen that works.
It’s All in the Diet
I have witnessed my family and friends try the Adkins diet, the Cardio diet, Weight Watchers, 3-day army diet, and many other types of diets. They all have the same thing in common… it is not sustainable. These fad diets are not possible to stay on for long durations of time. So what is next if you do lose the weight that you want? What I have seen that works is to find a way of eating that you can do for the rest of your life. One such diet is the Trim Healthy Mama diet. It is supposed to become a way of life. This diet is not only for weight loss but it can be used for weight gain also by using the way our body processes food. Choose a diet that you will be able to stay on even after you lose your weight.

The biggest complaint of dieters is the cravings! They crave those sweet snacks, or mid-night snacks, or those carbs! I know that as I have cut out sugar and most processed flour there are things that I crave. I love Reese’s Peanut Butter cups. They are my favorite and so I found a recipe that can be used as a substitute, in fact I think it is better. Find healthy snacks and recipes that will help you with the cravings. Be willing to put the time in to plan ahead and make up snacks. It doesn’t always have to be carrot sticks and celery, there are recipes for cheesecake and cookies that are healthy, just take the time to find them and make them.

There are all kinds of supplements out there for dieters. The key to finding a good supplement is to find something that is natural. Look for supplements that will naturally help boost your metabolism. There are many products that are full of synthetic ingredients that actually cause cravings to increase. You want to look for products that will help remove free radicals from your body, help control blood sugar spikes and help you feel fuller.
It’s All in the Attitude
Losing weight is a commitment. It is a time when you must determine that you will lose weight and stick to it. Get a support system to help keep you on track and encourage you. Most of all though is to not quit. When you have a bad day just get up the next morning and start again. Get up and walk or do an exercise of your choice and keep going. There will be times of discouragement and results will be few but keep moving forward because there will be those days of real accomplishment!
